Currently, nuclear power plants cover more than 50% of electricity consumption in Ukraine. This was reported by acting head of the State Atomic Energy Regulatory Authority Oleg Korikov during a briefing .

According to him, 9 power units of nuclear power plants are currently being operated in the territory controlled by Ukraine. Of them, 8 are in the network at full capacity, one power unit is under planned repair .
“At the moment, all 6 power units of the ZANP are in a stopped state, and the Russians are not giving the opportunity to bring the power units up to capacity for operation in the energy system of Ukraine,” Korikov said.

Electricity consumption in Ukraine has increased. Power shortages have increased, including at night. All regions are subject to consumption limits that apply from 00:00 to 24:00. In many areas, the limits have already been exceeded, and emergency shutdowns are in place.
