Kiev. Ukraine. Ukraine Gate – January 23, 2021 – Tourism
Thanks to hot springs, the largest marine health resort in Ukraine, even in the winter cold, is visited by thousands of tourists.
Country winter vacation on the Sea of Azov is gradually becoming commonplace for Ukrainians. But at the same time, many still do not understand why to go to sea in the cold season.
And if in most cases this question is really logical, then with regard to the Arab Arrow, it disappears by itself. After all, everyone who has ever been to a popular resort, or at least heard of it, knows about the main natural attractions of the region – thermal springs, which are especially relevant in the context of winter recreation.
What pleases tourists winter Arabatka?
Arabatskaya Strelka in winter is a large empty beaches, “sleeping” infrastructure, and especially beautiful seascapes.
And although most of the coast at this time of year is calm, near the thermal springs on the southern outskirts of Shchaslyvtsevo and Strilkovo, even in the off-season, many tourists.
Swimming in warm mineral water under the open sky, when the air temperature is far from summer, and even frosts, – a special kind of sensation for fans of adrenaline and vivid impressions. And there are really a lot of such tourists in Arabatka.
“If you do not take explicit rainy days, every weekend we estimate only one” Arabatskaya Terms “visited by about 1.5-2 thousand people per day. Near the holidays, this figure doubled. This unusually high tourist traffic for the winter in this region”, – comments situation the editor-in-chief of NMP “Arabatskaya Strilka”, Evgeny Smelchakov.
Swimming on the hot lakes, you can visit another local attraction – Pink Lake in the village of Priozerne at the beginning of the Arabat Spit. The unusual shade of water during the cold, although not as intense as in summer, but still present, and creates an original background for winter photo shoots.
Where are and what do the hot springs of the Arabian Arrow look like?
Two thermal springs are available on the Arabat Spit in winter. The first is located about 3 km south of the village of Shchaslyvtseve near the territory of the unfinished clinic of Dr. Kozyavkin. The second source is located behind Strilkov on the territory of the “Arabatski Terme” complex.
Both thermal lakes are of artificial origin. They appeared as a result of work to find gas on the spit. Now the springs are filled with water from wells with a depth of more than 1500 m. The water temperature at the outlet reaches about +70 ⁰C and in the font itself averages about + 40-45 ⁰C.
The spring on the outskirts of Shchaslyvtsevo is a natural pool dug right in the ground. There are makeshift locker rooms, a free toilet and several benches nearby. The pond itself is not equipped in any way, but you can swim here in winter for free.
The hot lake in the territory of “Arab Baths” has a more civilized look: around the font there is a wooden platform on which sunbeds are installed, there are warm locker rooms and storage rooms, organized places for snacks and you can drink tea with sandwiches.
Thus, a trip to Arabatskaya Strelka in winter with a visit to the thermal springs and Pink Lake will be a great option for a weekend with family or friends, and more and more of our compatriots are convinced of this in their own experience. And, by the way, if you want to stay longer, the resort has enough facilities that are open all year round.
